We honored and celebrated Lilly on the first anniversary of her birth and passing, Nov. 15, spending a wonderful day at Disneyland in California with her godparents, Michael and Jackie, and our godson, Xander.
First, Michael surprised us with a hotel room at the Grand California Hotel. Then a nice day at the parks was followed by dinner at the fancy Napa Rose restaurant.
The meal was capped by a dessert plate adorned with "Happy Birthday" in chocolate and one lit candle. We all joined hands and Brent said a short prayer that included a huge "Thank you" to the Whitleys.
And while tears were shed, the day was a perfect tribute to our perfect little angel.
We miss you, Lilly. Our hearts still ache, and will forever ache, that we can't hold you in our arms and smother you in kisses and hugs.
